7:00 pm - free couch

scarletwildfire
My boyfriend is moving in with me this weekend and we don't need his couch.  It is a mossy green nearly taupe and is a 3 cushion size.  This couch is nothing fancy but is very useable (I do when I'm over there), however it will need to lean up against a wall as it has two broken slats in the back.  You can not feel them when you are sitting on it.

This would be a couch perfect for a frat house or if someone just really needs a couch and has a wall.  :)

Free to good home, must be picked up by Sunday.  Please send me a message if you'd like more info or would like to claim it as yours!

10:41 am - carpooling to Buffalo

hearts_of_hope

I’m looking for someone who is driving from Columbus to Buffalo, NY (or even all the way to Toronto) sometime around December 19th and would like to share the ride (and of course, the cost) with two people.  Leave a comment if you’re interested.

4:18 pm - tattoo shops around campus

iguanasdefuego
Hey all. I am looking to get a tattoo as a graduation present for myself. It's very geometric in design, with a lot of straight lines, so I need someone who is fantastic with line work.

Can anyone recommend a good artist around Columbus? (Distance isn't too big of an issue, I have a car)

10:27 pm - ATTN: students with a .edu email address

backstabber
Amazon is offering a free 1 year subscription to Amazon Prime (Free 2 day shipping, $3.99 overnight shipping): http://amzn.to/bSH8jP

This is being marketed towards college students but all you need is a valid .edu email address, so teachers and alumni can benefit from this too!

Now is a time that I wish I was still in college. Oh well, what can you do?

8:56 pm - Administrator Needed

iota
Hello, fellow Buckeyes!

I started this Livejournal community over 8 years ago when Livejournal was really the only "social networking" site out there.

Since then, I'm no longer attending OSU and to be honest I only visit Livejournal once every few months, if even that. My userpic is what I looked like in 2003, not 2010. Unfortunately, Livejournal just isn't what it used to be.

I actually forgot all about this community, which surprisingly appears to still be somewhat active! As such, I suddenly feel bad for leaving the community basically unmaintained for, oh, about 7 years.

I need someone to become the new administrator, just in case -- I'm sure that there are periodically posts or comments that need to be deleted (or maybe not, I really don't know), and other such administrative stuff to do.

If you have any interest in taking over for me, please let me know via email: jasongill @ (google's email service).com

And as tempting as it might be for you to apply, please don't unless you are a very active long time Livejournal user, and a current student of Ohio State who intends to give this community the attention it deserves. Seriously, and no offense, but if you don't have a lot of posts and haven't been here for a long time, please don't email me. In your email please be sure to note why you actually care to handle this position (which honestly, I really don't even know what all it entails - like I said, this community has been basically neglected by me and unmaintained for many, many years).

Thanks, and GO BUCKS!

Would anyone be willing to get tickets for Rock on the Range tickets for me from the Ohio Union? Or if you bought them and don't need them, can I buy them off you? I'm no longer a student but don't want to pay full price! haha Thanks!!

10:09 am - Airport Shuttles

dorkalicious33
I have a relative coming into town, but unfortunately I will be in class when she needs to get back to the Columbus Airport. I know the COTA won't be running their express service this month, but I was wondering if anyone has used the other shuttle services?

I'm not really keen on getting her a taxi, since they tend to not show up for appointments and also cost about $25 to run from campus to Port International.

Rates and quality of service info would be much appreciated!!

10:42 pm - Apt communities

vanity_fare
I'm looking at Olentangy Village, University Village and Heritage Apartments (through Village Green). Anyone have first-hand experience of living at these places? I am just looking for a one bedroom. I was wondering what the community was like (noisy, obnoxious, quiet, etc), and what the transportation to campus is like (and if you thought it to be too far away or whatever).

THANKS :)

3:21 pm - Warm Up To Winter Workouts

metrogq

Outside its frosty and frigid and let’s face it, the last thing on your mind is fitness. However maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle is imperative year round, not just during swimsuit season. “Keeping active during the winter keeps you 5 steps (not to mention 5 months) ahead of everyone else,” Lifestyle Fitness Personal Trainer Michael Price explains.

ven a blizzard shouldn’t be a big enough road block to deter you on the path to becoming a work-out warrior. Price proposes investing in the Wii Fit console as it can be used for exercise within the home and something active for the whole family to partake in together. He also suggests getting creative by attacking full body workouts using your own body weight (IE: push-ups, sit-ups and chair dips). Another cost-efficient mechanism for an at home sweat secessions is the internet. YouTube, Shape, Fitness for Her and Fitness websites all offer free workout videos and workout advice,” explains Dolce.

10:21 pm - French Field House?

virtualannette
Do any of you know whether it's possible to get access to French Field House (the indoor track) if you're not affiliated with the track team?  I have a Buck ID and everything... I just don't know if there are open hours where you can go there to run, or what the deal is.  I can't seem to find any info about it online, but maybe I'm missing it.  I just want to use a track one day per week for speed training.

Thanks!
